This aluminium strip provides a neat and tidy finish when joining carpets and hard floor of different heights together. The metal-toothed projections grip on to the carpet and the other side perfectly covers your hard floor e.g. laminate, tile or wood floor.

There are a variety of different thresholds and doorbars to suit whichever types of flooring you are joining together.
Here is a quick guide of how to fit them:
To start, measure the width of your doorway or joining to determine the size of threshold required. If necessary, cut your threshold to make sure they fit snuggly into your doorway or joining area.
For Self-adhesive thresholds:
• Once you are satisfied with the length of your threshold, simply peel off the backing. Being careful not to touch the glue, place the sticky side of the threshold over the doorway or floor joining. Apply pressure to the threshold to ensure it is securely in place. If necessary, place a heavy object on top of the threshold overnight.
For thresholds that require nailing or screwing:
• Once you are satisfied with the length of your threshold, drill pilot holes at an equal distance across the profile, making sure they are slightly smaller than the finishing nails/screws. Hammer or drill the finishing nails/screws into the pilot holes until the threshold is securely in place.
